What prompted the initial contact with police? During the evening of October 29, 2021, Clinton police officers observed an unidentified man driving a stolen pick-up truck and attempted to pull him over.

Actions taken by subject towards police: Rather than comply, the man fled from the officers and rammed one of their vehicles before crashing into gated apartment complex. The man then jumped out of his vehicle prepared to fight with the officers.

Reactions by the police: When the man exited his vehicle and looked like he was about to access a concealed weapon, one of the officers fatally shot him.
